Revival of Kurd’s Heritage Organization (KRHO) initiated to Suleimany Airport authorities an awareness-raising training course for 3 days from 4-6 September 2016 on heritage and culture protection. The raining included different subjects regarding the recognition of the original archeology and heritage pieces and collections that may be smuggled out of the country. The first-day orientation was given to the participants about the history and the civilizations from the 18th to 20th century in the
region. The second day was on the Iraqi law of Archeology and Heritage no.55 of the year 2012. The third day of the training was dedicated to the recognition of the original historical pieces and collection and the methodology of hiding in the bags and in the passenger’s personal properties. The training was conducted by ( Mr. Erfan Heritage experts, Mr. Deliva Abdullah, legal advisor and expert in law). It is worth mentioning Mr. Tahir Qadr, Director of Suleimani airport, Mr, Kamal Rasheed Raheem, Director of Suleimany Antiques, Mr, Hashim Hama Abdullah, Director of Suleimany Museum, and Mr. Hiwa Jaff in charge of relations were participated in the training. At the end of the training, certificates were given to the participants and Mr. Tahir Qadir Abdullah, director of the airport on behalf of his administration of the airport expressed his thanks to Revival of Kurd’s Heritage organization for providing this useful knowledge to increase their capacity and skill to prevent smuggling the historical and antique pieces.
